Swami Haridasji's Keli Leela in Bhaav Smadhi 1-40 padaas

Nikunj is a place in Vrindavan which is surrounded by vrinda or tulsi shrubs. In these grooves of creepers the divine jori or couple loves to spend their pastime. This place exists in Nidhivan from where Shri Banke Bihari appeared by hearing the sangeet of Swami Shri Haridasji some 500 hundred years ago. Some of his leelas which Swami Shri Haridasji experienced in the nikunj in his Samadhi state are being explained below. All effort has been made to explain according to what he actually saw or experienced but incase something has been added by my own bhava, I ask forgiveness from Him.

KELI LEELA
1. ‘Mai ri sahaj jori pragat bhai’ ……
When Bihari ji appeared on Bihari Panchmi day in the month of December, there was a music recital where great classical singers had gathered to sing for Bihari ji. Swami Haridasji sang such enchanting padaas that Bihari ji was forced to make an appearance. Both Radha ji and Bihari ji appeared and were smiling at the devotees.
At once Swami ji uttered ‘Mai (referring dear friend or sakhi), how fortunate are all the people assembled here. Rishes, munis, devotees have to do tough tapas to have darshan of
Radha Shyam, but see here, how easily everyone here is having darshan of the divine Couple. This jori has existed since time immemorial; it still exists and will continue to exist forever’.

Swami Shri Haridas was an incarnation of Lalita Sakhi who has also existed with the jori always. Bihariji’s complexion is dark like cloud and Bihariniji’s complexion is fair like the lightening that occurs in the clouds during the rainy season. When both the Yugal jori is together they look so beautiful as if there is lightening coming from the clouds.
This divine jori is immortal. It is beyond time, space and imagination. Their form is eternal, auspicious, infallible, and spiritual and they are always eternally youthful. Each and every part of their body is so perfect that no metaphor is befitting to express their beauty.
The next thing that comes to ones mind is out of the two who is more beautiful. Swamiji has explained in the next verse that their beauty, intelligence, manners, elegance, vigor and liveliness is exactly same. Both are equally beautiful and none is less than the other in any way.
Swami Shri Haridas ji, who is constantly watching their leela says, if there is a contest of beauty, intelligence, elegance, knowledge or any such thing, both of them will surpass each other.

2 .Ruchi ke parkaash praspar khelan laage-----
In the most unique and enchanting nikunj mahal which is fully decorated with mogra flowers, the divine couple is seated on a beautiful throne just like a newly wedded couple
Both are blushing and looking at each other lovingly The winter moon is shining so brightly that it has illumined the entire nikunj. Hari dasi sakhi is also seated in front of them on a decorated seat of flowers. She is telling another sakhi that the two are enjoying keli leela according to their liking and both are laying in their own light and are unaware of what is happening around them. They are totally engrossed in their pastime. The love of Radhaji is the raaga and that of Biharii is raagni. Their love is divine At this time ladliji was dancing to special steps and at other times Bihariji was dancing at its own steps This way both are dancing as if they are dancing on different rhythms .In the ocean of this bliss both are dancing as if they are swinging on the blissful ocean of anand. Swami ji says today’s leela is full of colorful bliss Both are so engrossed in the bliss that the weight of their body has become one.

3. Essise hi dhekhat rahon janam sufal kari maanu--- In the beautiful nikunj both Bihariji and Biharniji is seated on a beautiful throne. Roses and other sweet scented flowers are spread all around them making the place utterly enchanting. Both are locked in each others arms and are engrossed in absolute bliss. Haridasi sakhi is seated beside them. She too has decorated herself with flowers. As she looks at them admiringly she says Oh sakhi I love to see these two in total bliss, when they are sitting embracing each other and lovingly looking at each other and making each other joyful. At such an occasion I feel my life’s purpose has been fulfilled. The duo never like to be separated even for a second and are always interlocked in each others arms. Both are dual youngsters who are made for each other. Swami sri Haridas ji says that both shyama as well as shyam Sunder are in my heart. I am never tired of seeing their keli leela. In fact the purpose of Haridasi is to ever make them ever happy.

4—jori vichitra bnaai ri maai—The love of Radha Krishna is transcendental. They are always intoxicated by each others love. They are the spiritual enjoyers of love and are always in harmony with each other. The nikunj is always self illuminated and the ever permanent pair is ever young with youthful energy. The love pastimes of the divine pair are the internal potency which is displayed in the div ine Vrindavan. This love is different from the lust type of love that we are aquatinted with. Their love is divine and hence no one should mistake it for the worldly love. In this 4th stanza of keli mal composed by Shri Haridas ji who is always with them in the nikunj palace helping them in performing their pastimes, Swami sri Hari das ji explains that this divine couple is absolutely unique and any one who has a mere glimpse of this jori will loose his heart. One will not like to blink his eyes even for a fraction of a second. Just as the clouds and its lightening never like to separate even for a second , the same way this duo also never wants to separate it self from one another. In the words of swami shri haridas ji both are wedded to each other and love to remain in the nikunj which is their home. This nikunj is an eternal land which is full of transcendental enjoyment which is full of bliss, unlike the mundane world there is no influence of time which changes things from one stage to another.

5 iit utt kaahe kon sidharat meri ankhen aage tu aav—In the nikunj where both the pair is seated surrounded by sakhi’s and sahchari’s the bride Biharaniji is stealing glances at Bihariji but when Bihariji tries to see her she looks here and there and pretends that she is not interested to glance at Bihariji. When this has happened constantly Bihariji get impatient and pleads to her to look eye to with him and give him solace. He asks her Oh Ladliji please shower your mercy on me and look at me . Don’t turn away from me. We both belong to this nikunj and I know it too well that you also find my company blissful then why do you get puffed up without any fault of mine? You are full of divine love and even your devotees consider you as more compassionate than me, then why aren’t you showing any compassion towards me. Oh Radhe why are you speechless? Please open up your silence and speak the sweet words which are full of nectar. your each and every word is precious to me and sooths my ears. Come please give up all your complaints and give me that blissful happiness. Shri Haridasi who had been listening to all this smiled at Radha ji and gave her a signal to stop her tantrums and stop teasing Bihariji further. Biharniji gave a sweet smile and looked into the eyes of Bihariji and both were in a state of bliss.

6 Piari ju jaise teri aakhin pe aapanapo dakhat Hun—in the blissful nikunj mehal where the nectar of blissful love is always flowing in the form of rain, the bride as well as the bridegroom (RADHA KRISHNA) are always seated on a beautiful throne decorated with lovely flowers such as mogra, merrigold,lotus and Roses. Suddenly Kunj Bihari ji asks Ladliji, ‘oh my dearest ladliji I am keen to know that when I see in your eyes I feel you are mine .Do you feel the same feeling of belongingness for me? At this Ladliji replies Oh priatam How can I see you because I keep my eyes always closed so that you don’t go anywhere . The moment Ladliji said go anywhere Lalji misunderstood that she is leaving him and hence in lamentation tone said Oh please don’t leave me my dear beloved Radhe because if you take me out of your eyes where else will I go? I don’t have any other place to go and am staying happily in your eyes for ever. I swear upon your holy feet that I want to reside in your eyes for ever . There is no bliss for me anywhere or you suggest another place where I could go and get the same bliss. The sakhi’s in the nikunj smiled at Bihari’s desperate love for ladliji. They were looking at each other feeling happy to see the keli of the pair. Afterall they have no other work except to render transcendental services to the divine couple because they are always engaged in pleasing the pair in any way possible hence they are always there to do any kind of service for them. This eternal place ie nikunj or divine Vrindavan is full of transcendental viberations where even these sakhi’s also remain youthful always. They are auspicious, infallible and spiritually advanced by the blessings of Shri Haridasji.

7.pyaari tero badan amrit ki pank----In the nikunj where both the divine jori is seated on a beautiful throne and is surrounded by the sahchari’s who are ever youthful, auspicious, spiritual, infallible and free from hunger, birth and death , Everyone is enjoying the pleasant aroma of the atmosphere which is so vibrating with the sweet smell of jasmine and rose scent. At this juncture Bihariji breaks the silence and says Oh Priyaji your body is like a slice of nector in which my eyes are always engrossed. If anyone gets entangled in such beauty it is impossible for him to come out of it. My eyes are like the buzzing bees who are always looking at your enchanting face and so many times I have tried to take out your vision from my eyes but have failed in all attempts to do so. Swami shri Haridasi was amused at hearing Lalji’s pleading and requested Priyaji to fulfill his desire.Priya ji was looking embarrassed but smiled back at lalji who was relieved that she was no longer annoyed with him.The sahchar’s were happy to see them extremely joyful because that is all they want. That is their only desire to see the happy in their keli leela.

8 Aawat jaath bajaawat nupur------ .In the nikunj when both the divine pair was seated on a beautifully decorated seat Ladliji was pretending to look here and there as if Lalji was not sitting there. At this Lalji was getting impatient waiting for her response. Haridasi who always takes care of their keli leela was watching this and addresses Biharniji and tells her.Oh piyariji Don’t you realize that Bihariji is very eager to have your attention. He has dressed himself so elegantly and is wearing his full shringaar that is his favorite yellow color pitamber and pink pataka and is wearing his peacock feathered crown He has brought his flute as well and wants to play some tunes to enchant you so that you can respond to his love. Why are you so indifferent towards him. See his face. He is feeling so hurt and impatient. When radha ji turned to look at the sakhi her nuppur (a kind of an ornament Indian women wear in the ankle which has small bells which make a tinkling sound when the lady moves or walks ) started making a bell like sound. On hearing the charming sounds of the bells of Radhaji’s nupur Bihariji at once uttered Oh Shyama ju the tingling sound of your nupur have woken me up from deep meditation. I was completely lost and all my make up was spoilt on hearing vibrating notes of your nupur.I was so engrossed in the magical sound that my clothes were scattered here and there, my flute was placed somewhere and my peacock feathered crown had fallen off without my knowledge.
Oh Radhe when your nupur make such enchanting sound why don’t you grace me by making the sound on top of my heart. I know you don,t need me as much as I do and you are self contended and don’t need my attention. You are so puffed up all the time and act according to your own wishes. You don’t realize how sad I become when you are in such moods. O.K If that makes you happy I will obey your orders now and will not complain any more but please I have a request that don’t go away from my heart and don’t be so obstinate in this issue. Radha ji who was actually having fun teasing Bhariji smiled and looked at him lovingly . She became normal.

9-------drishti chenp var fundha mun pinjara-----The divine nector is flowing in the nikunj mahal where the divine good deeds is the mandir and the beauty is the beautiful garden. In which Priyaji has caged Bihari ji like a birds though it is something with which Biharani ji plays with all the time.The different variety of colours in each part of his being are full of nectoral love and the colour is dark black which is so beautiful that any one who glances at it cannot remove his eyes even for a second. When Bihariji glanced at Biharaniji she noticed the pure love in his face. Haridasi sakhi who was sitting in front of them also noticed both of them glancing at each other so lovingly and it was then that she wrote this couplet. Oh sakhi Piyariji who always tries to hide her pleasure on seeing Bihariji is unable to hide it today. Today Biharniji’s grace on Bihariji is like a loop in which she has caught Bihariji in her eyes. Her heart seems to be a cage in which she has captivated Bihariji. Bihariniji’s nature is that of kindness and Bihariji is going on gazing at her. The nectoral flow of love which he is experiencing from Biharaniji’s face is so full of amrit that he is not tired or satisfied by going on and on drinking it.

This loving bird that is Bihariji is mad that he keeps chanting piyari piyari and nothing else. He has nothing else in his heart except the holy name of Ladli ji. Sakhi Haridassi blesses the couple and says may this love bird Bihariji live for ever. You Biharniji must go on showering your kindness to him and go on making him happy so that he goes on reciprocating his love for you.

10.bhulen bhulne hoon maan na kar piyari--------- In the most wonderful and uniqe nikunj groove where both the divine pair is comfortably seated on a beautiful throne of flowers tell her Oh Ladliji I feel that you are so cheerful and pleasing then why do you change your attitude with me so suddenly. I request you that even by mistake do not get annoyed with me .When I see your angry eye brows going higher I become very miserable & I forget myself totally & I am engrossed in your thoughts. Oh beloved if you will go on looking at me so indifferently as if you do not recognize me. How will I ever live my life without you. I will not survive without your love. When ladliji did not give any response to Bihariji’s pleading he looked upon Lalita sakh and told her why don’t you tell Ladliji to break her vow to speak to me. I promise that in future I will never do any thing to offend her. After hearing this Ladliji was so overwhelmed that she near Bihariji and made him happy.

11. Baat tho kaihat khai abb katthin pari Bihari------In the nikunj both are chatting with each other Radhaji seems to be in a very mischievious mood . She is going on laughing unbelieving to what Bihariji is saying. Infact she s making fun of his anxiety for her. Bihariji is obviously unhappy over this and looks at sakhi Haridasi for convincing her. Lalita sakhi who had incarnated as Haridas ji was watching this action of Biharaniji and as usual wanted to pacify her to be more attentive to Bihriji and said Oh Biharaniji you have closed your eyes and you don’t believe a word what Lalji is saying.You are smiling so sarcastly why don’t you believe what he is saying. Just look at him he is so upset and seems to be lifeless . He is not himself and seems to be sensless What do you say? Do you want him to be broken ? When Ladliji heard this she was touched by her action towards Lalji and felt bad that she had been the cause for making Bihariji so miserable. Quickly she came and hugged him lovingly and both were happy.

12. kunj Bihari hon teri balaai-------- In the nikunj both the couple are sitting together and Bihariniji seems to be in a good mood . At this juncture Bihariji says to Priyaji oh my most beloved piyaari we both are residends of this nikunj and keep on enjoying each others company since ages I pray to you that we continue for ever our pastimes and you keep on showering your love and kindness on me . It is due to you that I got the name kunj Bihari. Your love for me and my love for you is immeasurable .There is vibrating tones of music which enrich our love for each other..Every time I feel a new pleasure in your company .When Bihariji looks at the faceof Bihariniji even the moon feels ashamed if any one tries to compare her beauty with it. Sakhi Haridasi who was present there and listening to them smiled and commented ‘ both of you are equal in beauty I cannot say who is more beautiful than the other. She further commented that Biharniji is expert in dancing and Bihariji loves to watch her dancing because it suits her slender figure and each part of her body is so beautiful hence it is natural that Bihariji will love to watch her dancing He took her balaaia and thanked her for being so kind to him by showing her dance performance.

13. ekk same ekant vana me------ On one occasion the divine couple had gone to ghewar vana . When they reached the deep woods Bihariniji was tierd and could not go further. They stopped near a kadamb tree and opened up the make up box which contained altta, sindur, bindi. Jewelry etc. The necklace of both of them were studded with gems which acted as mirrors for both of them to see their reflection.. What a lovely sight it was to see them watching themselves in the mirrors of each others ornaments. Lalita sakhi is watching them doing each others make up and how they are enjoying watching each other. Both are feeling that they have never looked so beautiful ever before. Today the shringaar is very different from other days. The mirriors studded in the ring gems is not showing the real picture of the couple. Swami shri Haridas ji says that Lalji on seeing such beauty of Ladliji was so stunned that he was ready to be sold in her hand.. On the other hand Ladliji too was stunned to see Lalji who was also looking so lovely. Both of them could not contain themselves and were soon embraced in each others arms.

14 Radha chaal ree Hari bolat kokila alaapaat------ In the transcendal grooves of the divine Vrindavan known as nikujmahal the divine pair were enjoying the highest form of love. The sakhi’s too are seated around them trying their best to please them by doing services like singing, playing the sitar, fanning the couple etc. Suddenly Biharii wanted some privacy and makes a jesture to Bihariniji to go out of the nikunj into the woods where the koel is singing in her magical koohoo koohoo tone . Now the tune changed to that of a papiha. Radha ji was so engrossed in listening to the tunes of the birds that she over looked Lalji’s jestures to come out. On seeing this situation Haridasi who could not bear to see Lalji in sucha despair adressed her and says Ladliji please come out of your meditation abd pay attention to wha Lal ji wants .He is going on and on repeating your name and is begging you to go to the deep nikunj where the nightingale is singing priya priya. Lalji is desperate to go there wih you and it seems he has become a statue in your love. He is imagining as though he is surrounded by peacocks all around him and he is dancing along with their steps in full ecastcy. Whenever he glances at your utmost beautiful face his every part is dancing with joy . The clouds are making a lovely thundrous sound as they are playing the mridang along with the rythem of the dance.Radhaji you have completely bounded him with your love. Haridasiji was so concerned that she almost gave it off to Radhaji and orded her to show some compassion towards him and go with him whereever he wants to go. Radha ji who respects Lalita sakhi could not disobey. Besides she realised that she was being a little harsh in her behaviour so she agreed and held his hand lovngly and both went towards the outer nikunj.

15. tero mugg jowat lal bihari-------- once Ladliji was puffed up with Bihariji and Lalji was trying his best to bring her out of that mood so that both could enjoy the keli leela. A sakhi who noticed this situation intervens and reminds Ladliji Oh pyiari ju look at Lalji he is waiting for you to talk to him. When wil you show your mercy to him ? It seems he is in deep meditation and his eyes are closed as if he has no desire to look here and there. Radhaji, now it is high time you shed away your puffed up mood and go give him solace. On hearing this Ladlii as if was woken from a deep sleep suddenly got up and covered Bihariji’s eyes with her fragile hands..At this Bihariji got a shock because it was too sudden and he had not expected it at all. He just uttered ‘Is it you pyaari?’ Radha ji was very happy at this and started giving him joy by holding his hands and were soon in their favourite pose in the embrce position. Swami shri Haridas ji says may the divine pair always be engrossed in their such pastimes and the sakhi’s go on getting this opportunity too watch their divine leela. So that teir life also becomes worthwhile.

16. maani tub chaali ree ek sang raso keeje----- on one occasion Bihariniji was in one of her off moods and was not talking to lalji who felt very upset and miserable. A sakhi was watching very closely and intervened and asked her Oh Ladli ji why is your gaze looking at a blank place. You seem to be so annoyed without any reason. Please calm down and straighten your gaze at Bihriji who is waitng for you to be in your pleasant mood. He is known as Raas Bihari because he is always keen to enjoy your nectoral love Both of you are made for each other. You must understand Bihariji’s feelings for you. Both of you are
like a cloud and lightening bound to each other and cannot be seperated even for a second. Don’t be obstinate and go and enjoy keli with Bihariji.

VANSHI OF KAHNA----kanha’s vanshi or muralia is so melodious that it enchants not only the damsels or gopi’s of vrindavan but even the trees of vrindavan, the goverdhan hill, the waters of the rivers, the kunds and the ponds.The true devotees completely forget whatever they are doing the moment the melodious voice of vanshi enters their ears.They at once come in the samdhi state and the pleasure they get is undescriable in words. Those who saw Krishna at that moment experinced the blue coloured beauty of Krishna’s oval face which can be compared to a blue lotus flower with beautiful eyes like a khanjan bird whose eyes are oval shaped and big. The humming bees who are buzzing all around him mistake his eyes for a flower full of nector His beautiful nose is if such a lovely shape and is capable of killig millions of cupids as well as Kaamdev the god of love. His red lips are of the colour of sindur and his arms resemble a newely formed branch f a tamaal tree. The vats mark on his chest which was made by Bhrigujee looks s like a line drawn by the lightening in the midst of blue clouds. This tune of kanha’s vanshi can be heard in the 84 kos of brij bhoomi. If one is keen to hear this vanshi just sit down quietly ,first keep on watching your breathing from the nostrals and concentrate on the middle of theforehead where we apply tilak go on practicing for years and years without loosing your patience and one day you will defintely hear the vanshi of Kanha. Only, the will should be strong and true.
Listen to the enchanting tune of Kanha’s flute. In the rythem of this magical tune Bihariji is all out to dance in the raas with our beloved Radhaji in the nikunj mahal Every where the divine nikunj is decorated by the divine creepers who are so thrilled to be a witness of this divine raas of Raas Bihari. All the sakhi,s are singing the glories of the divine pair.The enchanting tune of the flute is so magical that river yamuna ji has stopped flowing. The coloured lotus flowers are at a stand still and look like stautes The beauty of Vrindavan has increased many many times more. There is no limit to the absolute bliss of the creepers and he trees of Vrindavan The peacocks, saras, the swans , nightengales and other birds of Vrindavan are so much enchanted that they have forgotton themselves and their own sweet voices in he midst of Kanah,s flute. The flowers too are swingig to the tune of the vanshi in the midst of such an environment. Swami Sri Hari das ji enters and tells the other sakhi,s friends come and enjoy this auspicious moment which enchants every living and non living being. At that moment Radha ji request Bihariji to give her the flute and tries to play it but all in vain because it can play oly Radhe Radhy and nothing else.

17------tu rees chjaadin re radhe radhe-------the divine pair is seated on a beautiful seat in the nikunj mahal and Bihariniji is as usual puffed up and is ignoring Bihariji who is pleading before her to cheer up her mood.. Sakhi shri hari dasiji who always keeps a close look at the situation adresses Radha ji and tells her Radhe why are you always annoyed with Lalji without any reason or any fault of his. When you behave in such a mood lal ji feels very anxious and miserable. He is hurt when you ignore him. Though I convince him that Radha ji will be normal soon but he pays no heed to my words and closes his eyes and starts meditation of you. Please make him happy by talking to him and smiling at him. He seems to be a fish out of the water. Don,t delay any further and come and embrace him so that he can enjoy keli with you.

18.aaju trin tutat hae re lalit tribhangi paar------------- once Radha ji was in a very jovial mood and told Bihariji today I will become tribhangi ie crooked from three areas that is I will take your place and become Bihariji and you become Radhaji.. Today let us exchange our shringaar Both agreed and exchanged their attire Radha ji was in Bihariji,s dress and vice versa. The sakhis were overjoyed to see such a beautifu sight when both placed their foot on the other, murli on their lips, Radha ji was banki and today she led Bihariji who was in Radha ji,s attire to come out of the nikunj. They both enjoyed ths keli leela Haridasi who was watching this leela was so enchanted by their dance and love for each other and prayed no bad omen should ever happen with them and blessed them and said balihaari jaaun aapke.

19. din duff taal bajaavat gaavat----------- In the month of phagun ieFeb-March hoil is played in the nikunj also. Here the divine couple are applying gulal at each other and are dancing to the rythem of the daffli. Both are so delicate that one can observe how tierd they look. Both are walking arms in arms and are walking in a very special way just as people walk during the holi season. They are getting new ideas of expressing their love for each other. Both are laughing like naughty children while smearing each other with gulal and have dissapeared in the narrow lane known as ghewar vana. Haridasi says both are clinging on to each other in such a way as a climber clings to a trunk of a tamaal tree.Hari dasi sakhi is delighted to see the pair in such a loving mood.

20. doe larhi motin ki ek punj------------
In the nikunj mahal which is decrated with scented flowers like mogra, rose rajnigandha etc . Both are wearing a garland of mogra flowers and are wearing lovely braclets (kangan) on their wrists. One sakhi was so thrilled to see thier beauty that she uttered oh sakhi haridasi just look
How beautiful they are looking seated on an equally beautifully decorated seat decorated withso many varieties of flowers . Their scent is spreading everywhere giving a fabulous aroma and since both ae in such a good mood and are talking to each other giving loving smiles It gives me great pleasure and satisfaction At this Hari dasi replied yes sakhi just see the pair carefully. Lal ji has placed his arms on Priaji,s shoulder and neck It looks as though two pearl necklaces are placed on Priyaji,s neck.. Look at shree ji,s eyes . She has put so much kaajal so that their today,s joy is not spoilt by some bad omen. The bangles worn by Ladliji are looking as though Lalji is holding her wrist. And its finger impressions have been pressed on her wrist. Just see Ladliji,s foot it looks as if Lalji has pressed his foot on hers and it has become like a seat. This beauty is so stunning that even Lalji can not take his eyes off from Ladliji. Swami Hari das ji who is a witness to all this says oh my beloved Kunj Bihari and kunj Bihariniji how thrilled I am to see u in this posture.

21..----jowan rang rangini sone se gaat---------------In the beautifully decorated nikunj the couple were seated on a throne decorated with all variety if flowers which were givinga pleasant sweet scent . Haridasi ju was full of pleasure in seeing the two swinging on the jhoola. She adressed the other sakhi’s who were also watching them and said , sakhi’s just look at the unique kelli of today. It seems, that pleaure is coming in the form of rain. I can feel new experience of colurful youth in the couple. Radha ji seems to be a beautiful sculpted goddess of love. Her eyes are so enchanting as though filled with multicolours. The black velvet like necklace which is actually the arm of shyam sundar is looking so beautiful. The dress made out of flowers that biharniju is wearing is glittering so well and shyam sundar ji is fingers are tightly holding shyama’s wrist that they have left marks on the wrist, it seems that she is wearing bangles. The breathing coming from Bihariji seems like a scented flower. The paan which he is chewing looks like clouds and his front teeth are looking like lightening. Both are so much engrosses in their kelli leela that it seems thata golden creeper is covering the trunk of a tree. Indeed they are looking so unique and enchanting.

22------Radhe dulaari maan taji--------In the beautiful nikunj the duo is seated and it looks as though Biharniji is puffed up. Bihariji notices that she is looking here and there and tells her oh radhe please don’t be in such a indifferent mood We both belong to the same nikunj and you also like to be in my company,then why do you behave as though you are annoyed with me. I really feel frightened when you turn so obstinate. Why don’t you remain happy with me. I haven’t seen any body so beautiful and full of so many qualities as you in in the three worlds. The pataal lok are your feet, the earth is your lotus like heart and the surya lok is your beautiful face. Although I am called Mohan but I can never compare my self with you. When Shyam Sundar ji was talking like this one sakhi who was also hearing everything made Radha ji realise that what he says is very true and she should get over her mood and play keli leela with him. At once Radha ji as though woken from sleep came and embraced Bihariji and both were in blissful moments.

23------guun ki baat radhe tere aage ko jaane-----In the beautiful nikunj when all the sahchari’s were watching prya, pritam resting on a throne decorated by flowers , one sakhi tells another: oh Ladliji only kunj bihariji knows your skills and talents and no body else, because he has learnt them from you. It is only who can have millions of high bhav which no one can even think of. The way you dance does not match with any one. How fast your steps move with the rythem of the music.Nat Naagar bihariji who himself is known as the reatest dancer has learnt this art from you. You are talented in so many ways that I am unable to decide which ones should I mention.You are really superb and great. Swami sri Hari das ji says that although bihariji is known as the supreme sustainer of the whole universe, Ladli ji is indeed much above him. It is due to her full kripa on bihariji that he is known as the Lord of the universe.

24-----Sudhar bhyo ho bihari yahi chhan te----In the nikunj like usually Ladliji is again in one of her puffed up moods. Sakhi sri haridasi who is Lalita sakhi in the nikunj s also seated before them. When she notices kishotiji’s swollen face she utters the following words; “ Ladliji Bihariji is so perfect in so many skills beauty, inteligene. Infact he is an all rounder . All this is due to your kripa or blessings. See how miserable he is looking just because you have turned your face on the other side.He is trying to pacify you to calm down. See how he has kept your lotus feet on his knees .All he wants is your kripa so please change your mood and look t him with your compassion. May Kunj Bihari always continues to be with you in your keli leela.”

25------Radha rasik kunj bihari kehath ju----- In the nikunj Kunj Bihari tells Radha ji “Radha ji I wow upon you that you are so innocent and intelligent. It is you only who has initiated me into the keli leela How ever you want to perform the keli, I simply follow you. I am just like your shadow of you lovely body. I bow
at your feet and always pray that yu are in a good cheerful mood always and don’t get puffed up.Haridasi sakhi is always with us.You ask her what I have done to spoil your mood.” Hari dasi sakhi intervened and said Ladliji I am a witness to the fact that what Lalji is sayng is correct. What happens to your moods ? Why do you forget that you are the divine bride of kunj bihariji ? Just see his miserable condition you have put him in. Now cheer up and make him happy by your kripa. Radha ji who herself could not be puffed up or long smiled loveingly at bihariji and then the due were again talkng and laughing in the nikunj mahal.

26-----Pyari teri mahima varni aa jaaey----In the nikunj mahal Lalji tells Ladliji “Oh Radhaji Ihave no words or vocabullary to to describe your greatness. I am like a mad cupid who is always engrossed in your nectoral , blissful beauty . I need you more than you need me , but you are most of the times in your
puffed up moods.Your madhurya has made me your slave.Swami haridasji says shyamaji has enchanted shyam sunder ji so muc that he has sold him self in her hands. Ladliji on hearingthis looked at bihariji with a slide glance and came near him to assure him that she too loves him equally.

27-------Shrm jal kun baahin, hoth moti mala ko dehu------- Once during keli leela in the nikunj Lalji was sweating . The drps of the sweat looked like small perls around Radhaji’s neck and it seemed that Radha ji was wearing a priceless neckless around her neck. In other wrods Lalji hadgiven his life and soul to Radha ji.Swami Hari das ji says “Lalji has made these pricelss beads out of the pores of his body and then made a mala or necklae out of it for the sake of hislove for Radha ji. Thus bot are earing these priceless mala and are experiencing absolute bliss.

28------ Neel Lal gour ke dhyan bethe kunjbihari------ In the nikunj mahal Radha ji Is looking prettier than ever decked up in full shingar. In her fair complextion her nose ring (nath) is looking grand. There are two priceless beads hanging from the nath which ismoving in vibration like style. It seems that it is studded by neel mani which is a very precios gem. The sakh’s are watching and commenting, “sakhi look at bihariji’s gaze at Radhsji’s nath. It seems that he is imagining that Radhaji’s nath is mocking at him teasingly.Lal ji was not looking pleasedbecause he wanted to come near the nathwali who was ignoing him. However when swami sri haridas ji made Radha realise her his miserable stat of mind she came closer to bihariji and they were again normal as they used to be in the nikunj mahal.

29------ Aaj ke vanika pyare teri pyaari -----The divine cople as usual is surrownded by sakhi in the nikunj mahal. They are amazed to see their beauty today and one sakhi tells other sakhi’s that todays beauty is unique from other days. The duo are looking fresh and youthful. The dark complexion of bihariji and the fair complexon of Ladliji are lightening each other.They have compared it to a veni which is decorated wih white flowers.
The yellow pitamber yellow robes of Bihariji and the blue sari of Radhaji is compared to the moon in the dark blue sky. The sakhi’s are amazed to see such beauty which is undescrible.Swami sriHari das ji says, There are no words to describe this beauty which even millions of rasiks cannot even describe. The sakhi’s in the nikunj feel they are fortunate to have glimpse of this blisful jori which satifies their heart and soul.

30-------dekhi dekhi phool bhaee------ In the nikunj mahal both are decorated with flowers. Hari dasi sakhi is so enchanted by todays shringaar of flowers that she uttered oh seeing them in this attire of flower shringaar I am puffed up (phool gai) The flowers are touching their body . Biharii has brought a cloak like cloth so that they can hide them selves from the other sahi’s.
Swami sri haridas ji says I amso much impressed watching their rythem of dance steps to the rythem of tha tha thai thai.

31----eisi tho vichitra bani------ The divine jori is unique that each and every part of their body is fullof nectoral bliss. In today’s leela in the nikunj today pyariji has become pritam and pritam has become pyariji. They both have melted and become one. The ghan damini metafer is also inappropriate today Swami sri haridas ji says it seems that bihariji is a tamaal (trunk of a tree) and Ladliji is just holding on to it. No person can describe this keli leela which can be understood only by the duo.

32---- hansat khelat, bolat,milat------ In the niknj mahal the divine couple was talking and laughing with each other. Haridasi sakhi was overwhelmed and delighted to see them enjoying their keli leela. She adresses bihari bihariniji and tells them oh ! Bihariji the way you are chatting, laughing , playing and meeting each other today, it is giving me imense pleasure to my eyes Both of you are so engrossed playing togeter and he sound of your ornaments are making sch a lovely sound making me feel all the more happy. I love to watch you both in this playful mood when you look at each other so lovingly. Your meeting is just like the eeting of ghan and damini i.e. clouds and lightening. This is a blissful sight for me.

33.-----adbhood gati upjat athi nrityan ----- It is spring time in the nikunj mahal and new flowers have bloomd filling the air with their scented aroma all over the surroundins. The sakhi’s who are also there, doing sewa of the duo are enthralled to see the beauty of the wintry full moon which is illuminationg the whole place specially Priya ji’s face. Three varieties of breeze is blowing which is very cool and soothing. The banks of yamunaji on both the sides seem to be representing bihari bihariniji. The dark colour of the water and the white sand of the banks. Both are looking soenhaning in their posture of being in each others arms . It seem they re studded with priceless gems all over.One sakhi is telling sakhi Haridasi : sakhi see how lovely the duo is loking playng new keli leela’s and just see them dancing whih is so unique that they get lost in each other. This jori is only of its own kind in the whole univrse. Swami sri haridas ji says: Who can describe the beauty of the nectral rain coming from the two megh and damini.

34-----Piyari ju jab jab dekho tero mukh tav tav nayo nayo laagat---In the nikuj mahal the divine couple is seated on a beautiful throne chating and joking with each other. Lal ji tells Radhaji Every time I see you , I feel I amseeing you for the first time.Your face looks new to me. I always have doubts whether I have seen you before ir not. When you get puffed upyou look different, when you are happy of oure you look very beautiful. Your beauty is out of he universe which is indescriable and can not be ritten by any one. Swami sri Haridas ji says oh shyama shyam the more I look at your aces and keli leela , the more I want to go on seeing. I don’t get satisfaction hence want to o on and on looking at you both and want to awake all the time.

35----- eise jyae oth jo jyae soun jyae mile---- In The niknj mahal in the presence of sakhi haridai the divine couple is in a blissful state of mind. Lal ji is telling priyaji that when we both meet together then I feel I am lik a chakor looking at the moon . My eyes are unable to take of f my eyes from your face.That is the purpose of my life therefore plese always remain in a happy mood with me. Ican not bear it when you getpuffed up and stop talking to me. Oh ladliji I do not haveth qualifiations that you bestow your kripa on me, I am only a simple unqalified person who is always at your disposal for your compassion for me . I am always eager for your blissful kripa but you you most of the time are in an angry mood and your eyebrows are always showing anger. Oh my dearest , I am not able to bear this behaviour of yours. Swami sri haridas ji says Lal ji tells Ladliji please priya ji do not behave like this and have compassion for me.

36------ Aaj rahesi me dekhat pyari ju----- In the nikunj mahalpyariji and Lalji are seated on a seat decorated withflowers. That time Lalita sakhisays, today pyariji is in a very good chirpy mood as I can see from her face as well as actions.Oh Ladliji I want you to promise me something in written.” Ladliji was taken aback and wondered what it could be and agreed to promise her to give in written what ever she wanted. She said , ‘Bihariniji I want you to goon loving Bihariji always. This love of your’s for him is much more than all the riches of the world. Your affection for him is much more than the interest on this wealth. This wealth in the form of your affection will go on multiplying. You must give in written that you will not get puffed up and make him miserable.I YOUR SAKHI Haridasi will be witness to make sure that you keep Lal ji always happy. If you are angry with Lalji again the sakhi will pay for it so please keep your mood cheerful and happy always.

37. Lalji was surprised at hearing Priyaji’s words that she will write but he was sure to believe it and said, ‘Ladliji although you are behaving so sweetly at the moment, but I can see your eyebrows are still in the shape of a bow. Why are you so harsh with such a simple person like me and go against my wishes. The way you look at me seems that that you are going to aim an arrow at me from your bow like eyebrows. My dear Ladliji when you see me with your bashful or tirchhi eyes I am fightened that you are again going to be I you uffed up moods. I request you to be more compassionate with me.’ Swami sri Haridas ji says, ‘Ladliji! Lalji is very anxious and miserable when you show your indifferent mood. You speak with him in such annoyance. That is not good.’ When Lalita sakhi said this Radhaji smiled and nodded to Lalita sakhi that she will not be puffed up again.

38. Kaahe te aaj atpate se Hari----- In the nikunj mahalwhere the jori is seated on a beautiful throne made out of lovely flowers, Ladliji comments, ‘Oh Biharji why are you saying things which make no sense? You are wearing you turban or paag insuch a shabby manner. You should not talk to me like this. Do not show your smartness to me because I have come to know that you are a fraud when you came to touch my feet. Why do you talk in suh a weird manner?’ Swami sri Haridas ji says that Ladliji is not able to understand that Lalji wanted to dance with her. When Lalita sakhi explained to er what Lalji wanted, she agreed to play holi with him.

40.---- Rom Rom Rasna jo hoti tau tere guun na bakhaane jaat---In
the nikunj mahal both Lalji and Ladliji were seated and Lal ji tells Ladliji, ‘priya ju I have no words to praise you qualities. Even if every cell of my body had been the tounge, I would not have been able to describe how you make me happy in the keli leela. Oh sakhi ! I have only one tounge and what can one tounge describe? I am a failure to describe your good qualitites and I don’t know what and how to express my self about you. The lotus blooms only as long as the sun shines. Although the sun rediates so much heat but still it feels pleased to see the lotus bloom, but it has to set by evening and feels miserable. The same when the moon shines thechakor bird is delighted and keeos staring at it but when the moon sets down in the morning it has to bear the brunt. Swami sri haridas ji says Oh Priya ju you love and affection can only give me true happiness.
