BRIJ BHOOMI

BRIJ BHOOMI
Brij bhoomi is the area where Krishna had spent his child hood in the dwapur yuga The past times of Krishna can be seen by all but after that although Krishna is always there we can not see him. Krishna loves BRIJ BHOOMI which is the area starting from Kosi to the borders of Agra and Aligarh. It includes Nand gaon, Barsana, Goverdhan ,Gokul ,Vrindavan. River .Yamuna flows along Vrindavan , Mathura, Gokul etc.

Kalindi is another name of river yamuna. She is the daughter of sun god and sister of yamraj the god of death. She in the form of a beautiful women is one of the eight important wives of bhagwan Krishna. Krishna used to love playing and bathing in yamuna everday. He used to follow the gopis ,the damsels of Vrindavan to tease them and have fun by breaking their earthen pot which they used to fill with water from the river yamuna for their household use. Yamunaji was alwas overjoyed to see Krishna play on its banks and enjoyed watching his childhood pranks. There were a great number of kadamb trees on its banks under which Radha Krishna use to talk for hours, sometimes Kanha would play the flute and Radhaji who was so mesmorised by the sweet notes of the flute would keep on standing in front of him like a statue for many hours. On one such occasion the damsels who had come to fill their pots with water saw this wonderful scene and this is how they were discussing the whole scene.
I SAKHI- Sakhi today yamuna ji seems to be overjoyed and is flowing as if it is dancing. Oh how lovely it is looking

II SAKHI- yes, and look how the wind is tossing its waves. It seems the wind is hand in glove with yamuna to enchant the pair.
III SAKHI- See it has started drizzling and the tiny drops of rain are making such lovely circles in the water of yamuna. Oh sakhi isn’t it a beautiful sight
IV SAKHI- Now look at the black clouds which have spread around making the scene so lovely. Also see the trees on the banks of the yamuna , their shadows seem to be swaying in a dancing posture.

I SAKHI- Look at the creepers ,bushes, and trees of Vrindavan. They are looking so thrilled at being washed by the rain after the heat and dust of summer. It seems they are enjoying bathing in the rain.
II SAKHI- Sakhi just see the reflection of the trees which are laden with so much fruit in the water of yamunaji. It looks as if these trees are enjoying seeing their own beauty.
III SAKHI- Friends listen to the charming sounds of different birds which are flying on the kadamb tree. The peacock , the nightingale, the swans , the pigions all are making such lovely sounds that it looks like a band of orchestra has come to Vrindavan.to be a part of pleasure for the divine pair Radha Krishna.
IV SAKHI- Now the peacock has started dancing to the tune of the koel. Sakhi I don’t know what is happening to me .My heart is throbbing in excitement at seeing such a lovely scene that I seem to be lost. Try to listen to what they are singing. I can make out tat they are singing the glories of the pair which has enchanted them so much. Sakhi I wish I become a peacock and dance with them
I SAKHI- And I Wish I become a koel and sing in the same melodious voice with her.
II SAKHI- Has nobody noticed that bumble bee which is buzzing around the flowers and enjoying the taste of their nector 1 Just feel the aroma of the scented atmosphere of the flowers mixed with the dust which has become wet due to the drizzling of the rain.
III SAKHI- There I can see the pair clinging to each other enjoying the tiny drops of rain . Oh they are getting drenched in the rain but they don’t seem to bother because they are enchanted by their surroundings.
IV SAKHI- Look, look both of them have started dancing with the peacocks. How marvelously they are dancing and how quickly they are turning round and round .
I SAKHI- What a combination of beauty and love. Sakhi do you see those deer and cows who have stopped chewing the cud because they are so fascinated by their dance.
II SAKHI- Friends have a look at Radhaji’s shadow in the yamuna river as if she is so overjoyed that it seems she is shivering with ecastcy.
III SAKHI- There is a lovely rainbow in the background as if it is inviting the divine pair to be seated in its swing.
IV SAKHI- All the six seasons of Vrindavan are lovely. Each has its own unique feature.

Vrindavan is out of the world. No one can really understand the secret of the place as to why it is so enchanting here. Only those who love Radha Krishna can value its importance for worldly people Vrindavan is like any other place. There is total bliss here. Sakhi we are so much blessed by Bihariji that we have the magical eyes to realize its beauty.Radha Krishna come near the gopi’s RADHAJI- Sakhi’s you all are vary dear to me that is why I have given you the opportunity to witness our keli leela.I simply love Vrindavan and I never ever leave Vrindavan even for a second. Swami Haridasji's Keli Leela in Bhaav Smadhi 1-40 padaas

Nikunj is a place in Vrindavan which is surrounded by vrinda or tulsi shrubs. In these grooves of creepers the divine jori or couple loves to spend their pastime. This place exists in Nidhivan from where Shri Banke Bihari appeared by hearing the sangeet of Swami Shri Haridasji some 500 hundred years ago. Some of his leelas which Swami Shri Haridasji experienced in the nikunj in his Samadhi state are being explained below. All effort has been made to explain according to what he actually saw or experienced but incase something has been added by my own bhava, I ask forgiveness from Him. KELI LEELA 1. ‘Mai ri sahaj jori pragat bhai’ …… When Bihari ji appeared on Bihari Panchmi day in the month of December, there was a music recital where great classical singers had gathered to sing for Bihari ji.
